Hi, I am Selma
My Personal Journey
I was raised during the war in Bosnia. As we refugeed to Sweden I was early thrown into learning how to navigate the challenges of cultural adaptation, experienced social isolation, feeling of missplacement and lack of belonging meanwhile attempting to live up to all the expectation, from all the cultures that were, and still are, my context. A journey that indeed was bumpy but also led to a great self-discovery, emerging as a leader with a unique blend of determination, vision and compassion.
I understand the struggle to break free from external expectations and internal obstacles and my personal quest for leadership authenticity led me to redefine the narrative, challenging the stereotypes that leadership is only for the dominant and extroverted.
My Professional Journey
With my 10 years of experience in leadership and personal development, my background in founding, driving, and developing NGO:s,
I understand the challenges that come with startups, scale-ups, change processes, workplace culture, leading in uncertainty, diversity and the importance of adaptive leadership, to mention a few. The introspective journey towards authentic leadership I speak of is the path I have walked myself – one of my greatest lessons!

Hence I am a proud advocate for children's rights, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment free from sexual abuse. I am committed to championing children's rights as part of Selma K. Coaching’s social responsibility.

In alignment with my values, I pledge to donate at least 10% of our revenue to Paraplys mission—an organisation dedicated to advocate children's rights to a safe life free from sexual abuse.

A part from the financial support for Paraply, I am also providing mentorship for young, aspiring leaders.
